**The Brandon Co. Sells Miami Retail Center After Nearly 40-Year Hold**

After nearly four decades of ownership, The Brandon Co. has sold Red Bird Shopping Center in Miami. The 92,089-square-foot retail property, located at 5761 Bird Road, was acquired by Asana Partners for $62.1 million.

According to Commercial Edge, the last recorded sale of the asset occurred in 1986 for $6.5 million.

Red Bird Shopping Center is fully leased and anchored by major tenants including Milam’s Market, Walgreens, Orion Fuels, and Ace Hardware. Other key tenants include Crown Wine & Spirits and Quest Diagnostics. The center boasts a strong tenant tenure, with an average duration of 31.2 years. It attracts approximately 1.5 million visits annually, including 338,000 unique visitors.

Strategically positioned near the intersection of U.S. Routes 959 and 976, the property is surrounded by residential neighborhoods such as Coral Gables and South Miami, contributing to its long-standing success and steady foot traffic.

The transaction was brokered by JLL Capital Markets’ Investment Sales and Advisory Team, comprised of Danny Finkle, Jorge Portela, and Kim Flores.
