Nearly 650 apartments are coming to Austin’s outskirts, located near the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport. The two projects will be constructed on 25 acres of land and will be developed by an affiliate of The NRP Group, a national developer specializing in affordable housing and one of the most active developers in Austin. Airport Crossing is set to become an affordable development with 334 units spread across four stories as well as a four-level parking garage. Of these units, 84 are designated for households at 50% median family income level (MFI), 201 for those at 60% MFI, and 50 for those at 70%. For reference, a three-person household in 2022 would have had an MFI of $49650 according to current data from the city’s records. Additionally Ross Road MF is also being built with 328 total units though it remains unknown if this project too will cater towards affordability or not.
