Groundbreaking is expected before the end of the year on a major retail development in Princeton, Texas. The upcoming Princeton Town Center will feature 420,000 square feet of retail space and is strategically located at the intersection of U.S. 380 and Beauchamp Boulevard, directly across from the Walmart Supercenter.
Anchor tenants for the project include Kroger and Home Depot, which will collectively occupy 240,000 square feet. Additional retailers expected to join the center are Hobby Lobby, TJ Maxx, HomeGoods, PetSmart, and Aldi. The development is being led by The Seitz Group.
The first group of stores is anticipated to open between late summer and fall of 2027. Leasing for the project is being managed by Jack Weir and Rachel Turry of Shop Cos. In addition to retail offerings, the site plan also includes a hotel.
Princeton has experienced rapid growth, with its population increasing by 30% between July 2023 and July 2024—the fastest rate in the nation among cities with at least 20,000 residents. Located on the northern outskirts of Dallas, the city is quickly emerging as a key retail destination in the region.
