**Blank Street to Open Eighth Boston Location at Iconic Allston Site**
Brooklyn-based coffee and matcha brand Blank Street is set to open its newest Boston-area location at the former Twin Donuts diner at 501 Cambridge Street in Allston. This move follows a long-term lease agreement with The Hamilton Company, which owns the property. The Allston location will become the eighth outpost for the growing brand in the Boston area, joining existing stores in Beacon Hill, the Back Bay, North Station, South Boston, Brookline, and Cambridge.
“We’re excited to welcome Blank Street to Allston and partner with them to create a new era of business history at 501 Cambridge Street,” said Jameson Brown, chairman and CEO of The Hamilton Company. “Blank Street’s preservation of the iconic Twin Donuts sign really honors the long history of that property as a special place that is beloved in the community.”
As part of the development, The Hamilton Company will restore and maintain the historic neon Twin Donuts sign, a beloved landmark in the Allston neighborhood. The iconic diner originally opened in 1955 and closed in March of this year. Blank Street plans to open the new location in late spring 2026.
