**Sunbelt Investment Holdings Eyes 272-Acre Parcel in Buckeye State Land Auction**

Sunbelt Investment Holdings has announced plans to bid on a 272-acre vacant parcel located near Interstate 10 and Verrado Way in Buckeye, Arizona. The site, currently owned by the Arizona State Land Department, is situated just east of the Buckeye Commons shopping center, a property also owned by Sunbelt.

The expansive property, which straddles I-10, has been zoned as Commercial Center, indicating its suitability for future commercial development. The state has set a minimum bid of $42.05 million for the auction, although an official date for the bidding has not yet been announced.

This bid highlights continued interest in the rapidly growing West Valley region, where development is booming. Currently, more than one million square feet of retail space is under construction at the I-10 and Verrado Way intersection.

Population growth in Buckeye has been significant, rising from 93,741 residents in 2020 to 114,334 in 2023. As development surges, the city is planning to turn 2,100 acres—including the parcel up for auction—into a designated special planning area. The vision for this area includes dense, mixed-use development combining office, retail, multifamily housing, sports, and entertainment facilities.

Sunbelt’s interest in the land signals strong confidence in the continued expansion and potential of Buckeye as a major commercial and residential hub in Arizona’s West Valley.
