Consulate General of India Leases Full Floor at DTLA’s AON Center
NAI Capital Commercial Executive Vice President Tina LaMonica, SIOR, represented the Consulate General of India in securing a 20,507-square-foot, 10-year lease at the AON Center located at 707 Wilshire Boulevard in Downtown Los Angeles. The landlord, Carolwood LP, was represented by Matthew Heyn, Vice Chair, and Ian Gilbert, Executive Vice President at Colliers.
This new lease marks a significant milestone as the Consulate General of India establishes a full-floor presence at the AON Center—an important step toward expanding consular services in Southern California. The new office will serve as the second Indian consulate in California, joining the existing location in San Francisco. The Greater Los Angeles area has the second-largest Indian-American population in the state, after the Bay Area.
“I am honored to have worked closely with the Consulate General of India in their search for the right location in Los Angeles,” said LaMonica. “Since February, we toured numerous office buildings to ensure the consulate would have a space that reflects both its prestige and its important mission.”
This expansion reflects the Indian government’s commitment to strengthening its diplomatic and community engagement efforts in the region.
