Oppidan Investment Company has officially broken ground on Mill + Miss, a new workforce housing development in Grand Rapids, Minnesota.
The project is a 121,000-square-foot, 132-unit market-rate rental community, created through a unique public-private partnership aimed at addressing the region’s housing shortage amid recent economic and job growth. Designed with the modern workforce in mind, Mill + Miss is set to improve the local housing landscape with a variety of high-quality living options.
The development will offer a mix of one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments featuring modern finishes. Residents will have access to numerous amenities, including heated and detached garage parking, a fitness center, game room, coffee bar, outdoor patio and grill area, and scenic walking paths.
“This project is a testament to how strong partnerships between the private and public sector can deliver tangible solutions for growing communities,” said Dave Scott, President of Oppidan.
The success of Mill + Miss has been made possible through collaboration with the City of Grand Rapids, the Grand Rapids Economic Development Authority, the Iron Range Resources & Rehabilitation Board, and the Minnesota Housing Finance Agency.
