**Rocky Mountain Metropolitan Airport Launches Expansion, Eyes Business Park Development**

The Rocky Mountain Metropolitan Airport (RMMA), located in Broomfield, Colorado, has embarked on an ambitious capital improvement project aimed at enhancing its infrastructure and attracting new users. A key component of the plan includes laying the groundwork for a future 100-acre business park.

Currently, construction is underway on a $7 million taxiway project, a major step forward for the airport’s expansion. The project will add new runway space designed to connect with dozens of hangars built by private developers. Once completed, RMMA plans to issue a request for proposals to attract a mix of new tenants.

The taxiway project is primarily funded by a $5.5 million grant from the Federal Aviation Administration, with the remainder financed through the airport’s enterprise fund. Completion of the new taxiway is projected by the end of the year.

In addition to federal support, the airport recently bolstered its resources by selling around 500 acres of land to the south. This land will be allocated to the planned business park, which RMMA hopes will further position the airport as a key economic driver for the region.

The expansion marks a significant step in RMMA’s long-term vision to support increased aviation activity and create new commercial opportunities in the region.
