**Holt Lunsford Commercial Launches HL Communities with First Multifamily Project in Denton, Texas**
Holt Lunsford Commercial (HLC) has officially launched its multifamily development and construction division, HL Communities, marking the announcement with its debut project—The Renegade—in Denton, Texas.
The Renegade is a Class-A, four-story multifamily development spanning 120,000 square feet with a total of 104 residential units. Located at 260 W. Mulberry Street, construction on the project began in February 2025 and is anticipated to be completed by the second quarter of 2026.
The new development will feature a modern mix of amenities including a clubhouse, fitness center, dedicated study areas, a pet recreation area, and landscaped courtyard spaces. Situated within walking distance of Denton’s Historic Downtown Square, the location also offers close proximity—within one mile—to several major universities, including the University of North Texas.
HL Communities has outlined three distinct product offerings within its multifamily strategy:
– Infill Boutique communities, like The Renegade, targeting urban centers
– Suburban Garden-Style developments, positioned near major employment hubs
– Suburban Wrap projects, designed for high-density living with structured parking and amenity-focused courtyards
For The Renegade, Archon Corporation is serving as the project architect and design consultant, while Harmony Bank is providing construction financing.
