The Illinois Tollway has approved six new construction and professional engineering contracts totaling nearly $44 million, including a contract awarded through bid credits tied to participation in the agency’s workforce development programs.

The Tollway manages nearly 300 miles of roadways across 12 counties in Northern Illinois. Key routes under its jurisdiction include the Reagan Memorial Tollway, Veterans Memorial Tollway, Jane Addams Memorial Tollway, Tri-State Tollway, and the Illinois Route 390 Tollway.

To date, the agency’s board has approved more than $261 million in capital investments for 2025. This includes $171.8 million allocated to the 16-year, $15 billion Move Illinois capital program, and nearly $90 million directed toward the seven-year, $2 billion Bridging the Future initiative. Officials estimate that the Tollway will make more than $1 billion in capital investments during 2025.

“The contracts approved today are supporting construction and engineering jobs throughout the Tollway system this construction season,” said Cassaundra Rouse, Executive Director of the Illinois Tollway.
