**Northwood Ravin and Fuqua Launch ‘The Bowery’ Apartment Project in Atlanta’s Old Fourth Ward**

Northwood Ravin and Fuqua Development are partnering on a new multifamily development called The Bowery, set to rise in Atlanta’s Old Fourth Ward neighborhood. The site, formerly home to the now-closed Desperate Housewares store, is currently being cleared to make way for the project. Construction is scheduled to begin in fall 2025, with completion targeted for mid-2028.

The Bowery will feature 273 apartment units along with 12 for-sale townhomes, built across a seven-story structure. As part of the development’s commitment to affordability, 15% of the apartments will be reserved for households earning 80% or less of the area’s median income. In addition to residential offerings, the project will include 12,000 square feet of ground-floor retail space.

The total cost of the development is expected to exceed $122 million. The project has been approved to receive approximately $5.7 million in tax savings over a 10-year period. Northwood Ravin acquired the site in 2023 for $14 million.

Elsewhere in the Atlanta metro, Northwood Ravin is also moving forward with the Halo project in East Decatur—a 370-unit community that will include a rooftop pool and a dedicated artist-in-residence program.
