Muinzer Reacquires Village West Property Near Purdue University Campus

Student housing investor Muinzer has reacquired Village West near Purdue University in West Lafayette, IN, for an undisclosed sum in partnership with T2 Capital Management. Reportedly one of the largest student housing assets in the nation, this deal allows Muinzer to increase its ownership stake.

Los Angeles-based Muinzer originally acquired the 1,134-bed Village West back in January 2020 with a West Coast-based institutional equity partner. According to Marc Muinzer – founder and CEO of his namesake firm – “This transaction unlocks significant value and allows our original institutional equity partner to successfully exit.”

Muinzer began investing in student housing sector back 2002 and is now among some of the largest owners within Big Ten & SEC Conferences; planning on continuing expansion into their portfolio. Michael Snyder – COO at Muinzeer – states that “In 2023 & 2024 we are looking forward to acquiring an additional $1 billion worth of student-housing assets close by high growth universities”
