**Brixmor Property Group Acquires LaCenterra in Katy for $223 Million**
Brixmor Property Group has acquired LaCenterra, a 409,000-square-foot lifestyle center in Katy, Texas, for $223 million.
Located in the heart of the Cinco Ranch master-planned community, LaCenterra is a premier retail destination that draws more than 5 million visits annually. The center features a diverse mix of national and local retailers, including Trader Joe’s, Athleta, a small-format Ikea, Lovesac, Lululemon, Sephora, Warby Parker, Ambriza Social Mexican Kitchen, Cava, Grimaldi’s Coal Brick-Oven Pizza, and Postino, among others.
This acquisition adds to Brixmor’s existing portfolio of 30 properties in the Houston market.
LaCenterra was originally developed by Vista Equities Group in partnership with Amstar Group. In 2017, PGIM Real Estate acquired the property on behalf of institutional investors and enlisted Poag Shopping Centers to oversee its management and leasing.
The transaction marks a significant investment for Brixmor, reinforcing its ongoing strategy of acquiring high-performing lifestyle centers in strong demographic markets.
