Innovation Quarter in Winston-Salem has acquired The Linden Center, a 190,000-square-foot facility located at 401 N. Research Parkway. Previously an operations center for Wells Fargo, the three-story building, situated on a 2.4-acre site, will be repurposed into flexible laboratory and biomanufacturing space. The redevelopment aims to support startups and scale up life sciences and regenerative medicine companies.

Since 2002, Innovation Quarter has played a key role in revitalizing the downtown area, transforming historic factories into state-of-the-art labs and collaborative spaces, developing greenways, and fostering a vibrant mixed-use district that now spans over 2.1 million square feet. The district generates an estimated $2 billion in annual economic impact for the region.

Wake Forest University Health Sciences, affiliated with Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, purchased the building. The acquisition was made from the Florida-based office of the law firm Kurkin Forehand Brandes.

This redevelopment marks another milestone in Innovation Quarter’s ongoing efforts to foster a thriving life sciences and tech-driven community in the Triad region.
