Big-data analytics firm Databricks is further expanding its footprint in the Bay Area, signing a lease for the entire 305,000-square-foot building at 200 Washington within the Cityline Sunnyvale development. The Sunnyvale site, developed by Hunter Partners, is part of a broader mixed-use revitalization of downtown Sunnyvale.

Earlier this year, Databricks secured 150,000 square feet of office space in San Francisco for its global headquarters and has maintained operations in Mountain View since 2020.

“After years of planning Cityline Sunnyvale’s master plan to reposition downtown, it is gratifying to have an AI powerhouse like Databricks, representing the most dynamic sector in technology today, choose 200 Washington as their primary Silicon Valley outpost,” said Curtis Leigh, principal and partner at Hunter Partners.

The lease agreement was facilitated by Vincent Scott, Michael Benevento, and Rochelle Imani of CBRE San Jose on behalf of Hunter Partners. Databricks was represented by Arnand Tiano and Andy Hueser of JLL. Occupancy of the new Sunnyvale location is expected in late 2026, following the completion of buildout.
