**Trader Joe’s to Open New Location in Gresham, Oregon**
A new Trader Joe’s is set to open at the Oregon Trail Center in Gresham, expanding the grocer’s footprint within the Portland metro area.
The store will be located at 2083 NE Burnside Road, occupying the site of a former Big Lots, according to the Portland Business Journal. This will be the first Trader Joe’s location in Gresham and the 11th in the broader Portland metro area, not including two locations in nearby Vancouver, Washington.
Trader Joe’s, a national grocery chain known for its extensive selection of private-label items and unique products, has recently announced more than a dozen new locations across the country. The Gresham store is among those listed as “opening soon.”
Last year, the company opened a 13,000-square-foot store in Salmon Creek, Washington, at the newly completed Skyview Station retail center. The Salmon Creek location is situated just six miles north of downtown Vancouver.
The addition of the Gresham store marks another step in Trader Joe’s ongoing regional expansion strategy.
