**University of North Florida Unveils Osprey Ridge as Part of Major Campus Expansion**
The University of North Florida (UNF) has officially opened Osprey Ridge, a brand-new student residence hall totaling 165,000 square feet. The four-story, $77.5 million facility will house 520 students and is set to welcome its first residents in the upcoming fall semester.
Osprey Ridge, designed by PBK and built by Ajax Building Company, features modern living spaces, dedicated study areas, a convenience store, and outdoor recreational amenities. This marks the first large-scale addition to UNF’s student housing since 2009.
Beyond the new residence hall, UNF is expanding its housing options further with a project on 17 acres of university-owned land. The development will consist of four residential buildings offering about 700 beds across 250 units. Once completed, this will bring the university’s total on-campus housing capacity to approximately 5,000 beds.
In addition to student housing, UNF is progressing with phase two of the $44.3 million expansion of the Coggin College of Business, which includes merging it with the adjacent Building 10. Construction began in 2023, and plans also include the development of a new student support and services building.
These projects represent a significant period of growth and investment at the University of North Florida, with more developments expected in the near future.
