Seefried Industrial Properties and Endeavour’s Edged Energy division have joined City of Aurora officials and ComEd to commence construction on a new data center campus in Aurora, IL. Located at the intersection of Interstate 88 and Eola Road, the multi-building campus will span 65 acres across three buildings that will be constructed in phases.
The project is designed with sustainability features including advanced waterless cooling technology, ultra-efficient energy systems, electric vehicle charging stations as well as alternative fuels for backup generators along with onsite solar panels. This marks Edged Energy’s first data center development in Illinois which is expected to complete its first building by June 2024. Paul Roeser and Ryan O’Leary from KBC Advisors represented Edged Energy while Jim DeRose and Michele Keller from DuPage Property Venture represented the land seller during this transaction.
