**Adolfson & Peterson Tapped for $27M Redevelopment in Dallas Design District**
Adolfson & Peterson Construction has been selected by retail real estate investment firm Asana Partners to lead the renovation of the former Oak Lawn Design Plaza in the Dallas Design District. The nine-acre property, acquired by Asana Partners in late 2023, will be transformed into a 160,000-square-foot upscale shopping and dining destination now named “The Seam.”
Originally constructed in the 1970s, the site at 1444 Oak Lawn Avenue will be redeveloped in a $27 million project to include a mix of high-end retail, wellness offerings, and food and beverage concepts—all within an open-air environment. Construction began in March 2025 and is expected to be completed within 12 months.
Morris Adjmi Architects is serving as the Design Architect, while GFF Design is the Architect of Record. Adolfson & Peterson Construction will oversee all aspects of the redevelopment, including staging and phased construction efforts.
Once completed, The Seam will offer nearly 50 spaces for retailers, restaurants, wellness providers, and showroom tenants—revitalizing a key section of the Dallas Design District.
