**California People and Company News – Week of July 11, 2025**

**Avison Young**
John Cashin has been appointed Market Leader for Avison Young’s Palo Alto office. Cashin, who has more than 20 years of experience in commercial real estate, will continue in his brokerage role while focusing on strategic growth, operational leadership, and market positioning for the office. He joined Avison Young in 2012 and was instrumental in opening its first Bay Area office in San Francisco.

**NAI Capital Commercial**
Jim Kruse has been named Executive Managing Director of NAI Capital’s West Los Angeles office. Kruse, who joined the firm in April as Director of Brokerage for Southern California, will now take on expanded leadership responsibilities.

**Rockwood Capital**
Private real estate investment firm Rockwood Capital has hired Jimmy Yung as Senior Managing Director and Global Head of Originations. He will be based in the firm’s Los Angeles office. Yung previously served as Managing Director at Blackstone Real Estate Debt Strategies.

**Mayer Brown**
Gabe Steffens has joined Mayer Brown’s Los Angeles office as a partner in its Real Estate and Real Estate Funds practices. Steffens was formerly Global Head of Legal at Nuveen Real Estate and General Counsel of The Amherst Group.

**CBRE Appointments and Promotions**
– Andy Schmitt has been promoted to Managing Director and Senior Vice President. He will lead CBRE’s office sector across San Francisco’s East Bay markets such as Oakland, Walnut Creek, and the Tri-Valley, while continuing his leasing and sales practice.

– Jon Azulay has joined CBRE as Senior Vice President in the West Los Angeles office. He will partner with Jacob Bobek and Scott Steuber to focus on occupier leasing services.

– Anna Kampling joins CBRE as First Vice President on the Southern California multifamily investment sales team. She will work with Chris Tresp, focusing on new middle-market multifamily properties in Los Angeles, Ventura, and Santa Barbara counties. Kampling previously worked at Colliers, where she facilitated $500 million in private and institutional sales.

– Steffen Kammerer has been promoted to Executive Managing Director. He now leads CBRE’s offices in Silicon Valley, Palo Alto, and Burlingame, managing more than 100 producers across multiple real estate sectors.

**Panattoni**
Industrial real estate developer Panattoni has announced a global leadership restructuring. Adon Panattoni has been named global CEO while continuing as CEO for North America. Robert Dobrzycki remains CEO of European operations. Bill Bullen has been named Global COO, Doug Roberts becomes President of North American Development, and Scott Siegel is the new CFO for North America.

**Kidder Mathews**
– Andrew Rebennack and Cameron Baird have joined the firm as Senior Vice Presidents in the San Francisco office. Rebennack brings nearly a decade of brokerage experience, while Baird contributes over 20 years of retail real estate expertise in the Bay Area.
– In Silicon Valley, David Cutler has joined as Senior Vice President. With more than 20 years of experience, Cutler specializes in investment sales including multifamily, office, industrial, and redevelopment properties nationwide.

**JLL**
Nick LiVigne has joined JLL as Consulting Lead for the Technology Division of JLL Work Dynamics. Based in San Francisco, he will spearhead strategic, client-oriented initiatives.

**Parkview Financial**
Parkview Financial has appointed Scott Denham as Managing Director and Head of Construction. Previously, Denham served as SVP at Mack Real Estate Group, where he led national industrial development initiatives.

**Western Alliance Bank**
Charles Jones has joined Western Alliance Bank as Senior Director of Multifamily Housing Finance. Based in Los Angeles, Jones brings over 25 years of experience in commercial real estate finance, most recently serving as Managing Director and VP of Originations at M&T Realty Capital Corporation.

**Berkadia**
Berkadia has added three new Managing Directors—John Chu, Ed Rosen, and Tyler Sinks—to its investment sales team in San Diego. The trio officially began their roles on June 30.

**ExchangeRight**
ExchangeRight has launched new subclasses for ER shares of the Essential Income REIT. These new share classes aim to increase accessibility through various custodians and investment platforms while maintaining the features that provide tax-efficient income, growth potential, and participation in company profits.
