Seefried Industrial Properties is set to develop a new 1.6 million-square-foot Amazon sortation center in Troup County, Georgia, with the facility expected to open in 2027. This marks Amazon’s third sortation center in the state.

Strategically located along Highway 54/E. Main Street near Bass Cross Road in Hogansville, the facility will become a crucial hub within Amazon’s national logistics network. The site offers direct connectivity to Interstate 85 and is situated within convenient proximity to Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, enhancing its logistical advantages.

At the new facility, Amazon employees will sort packages by their final destination and load them onto trucks for delivery, streamlining the company’s fulfillment operations within the region.

The project team includes The Conlan Company as general contractor, AECOM as the project’s architect, and Eberly & Associates serving as the civil engineer.

This project follows Seefried’s previous collaboration with Amazon on a 640,000-square-foot fulfillment center in Stone Mountain, Georgia, completed in 2020 for $237 million.
