**Massive Samsung Plant Spurs 100-Acre Mixed-Use Development in Taylor, Texas**
With the construction of Samsung’s massive $42 billion facility underway, the town of Taylor, Texas, has emerged as a hotbed for development. The new plant, which is expected to create up to 10,000 jobs, is drawing significant attention from real estate developers eager to capitalize on the city’s transformation. Despite a current population of just 18,000, Taylor is experiencing a development boom.
One of the largest projects on the horizon is being led by Forterra Developers, which is planning a 100-acre mixed-use development directly adjacent to the new Samsung facility. According to the Austin Business Journal, the project will include 192,000 square feet of industrial space, 81,600 square feet of flexible office space, a 10,500-square-foot gas station, 9,000 square feet of retail units, as well as both single-family homes and a built-to-rent residential community. The development is slated for completion by early 2027.
In addition to Forterra, several other firms are eyeing the area for new developments. These include CM Realty LLC, Transcend Group Holdings LLC, iMarket America Inc., RCR Rail Park Development Co., Quannah Partners LLC, KDC, and Megatel Group.
As Taylor gears up for massive population and economic growth, it is quickly becoming a focal point for future investment and expansion in Central Texas.
