**California People and Company News – Week of June 6, 2025**
**Kidder Mathews** has announced the hiring of Dave Evans as Executive Vice President in its Silicon Valley office. Evans brings over four decades of commercial real estate experience with a specialization in leasing, sales, and consulting services for industrial property users and owners. Prior to joining Kidder Mathews, he spent more than 37 years at Colliers.
**Trion Properties**, a private equity real estate firm focused on value-add multifamily investments, appointed Natalina Rettew as Head of Asset Management. Rettew, previously a senior executive at LivCor (a Blackstone company), brings more than 10 years of multifamily experience with a strong history in scaling portfolio performance.
**CareTrust REIT, Inc.**, based in San Clemente, has welcomed two new executives: Roger Laty as Senior Vice President of Tax, and Derek Bunker as Senior Vice President of Strategy and Investor Relations. Laty most recently served 12 years as Vice President of Tax at UDR, Inc., while Bunker previously held roles as CIO and EVP at The Pennant Group.
**Westcore**, a fully integrated private equity firm focused on industrial real estate, has named Faris Mansour as Managing Director, Head of Portfolio Management—a newly created position supporting anticipated growth. Mansour has been involved in real estate and infrastructure transactions totaling nearly $17 billion over his career.
**CenterPoint** has appointed Pete Williams as its new West Region Senior Vice President of Investments. He will operate from the firm’s newly opened office in Manhattan Beach. Williams previously sourced acquisitions throughout California for North Palisade Partners as Vice President of Investments.
**Bayview PACE** announced the hiring of Shelah Wallace and Robert Haight as C-PACE Finance Originators. Wallace will be based in Philadelphia as Senior Vice President of Loan Originations, while Haight will serve as Vice President of Originations in San Diego. The hires support Bayview PACE’s continued expansion across the U.S.
**Jurny**, a hospitality technology company that uses AI to redefine property management for hotels and short-term rentals, has appointed Paul Tuscano as Strategic Board Advisor. Tuscano is currently Chief Digital Officer at KFC and formerly held senior executive roles at Marriott International, with more than 20 years of experience in enterprise product innovation.
**Build Group**, a privately held general contractor and design-builder, named Brian Davey as President of Build Group Signature Interiors. Davey has been with the San Francisco-based company for over 20 years, leading a wide range of projects from ground-up builds to high-end interior structures.
**Snappt**, a leading verification platform serving the multifamily industry, announced James Hyde as its new CEO. He succeeds Co-Founder Daniel Berlind, who will step into the role of Executive Chairman.
**Rently**, a provider of self-touring, smart access, and home automation technology for rentals, has expanded its smart access suite with a new line of security and surveillance offerings. The Los Angeles-based company introduced security cameras placed throughout multifamily properties, aimed at increasing resident safety, occupancy rates, and crime deterrence.
**Scenera**, an AI-powered sensing technology firm based in Palo Alto, has launched BlindEye, a privacy-focused occupancy intelligence platform. BlindEye is designed to enhance operational insight, safety, and efficiency without compromising personal privacy and has already gained trust from several global brands.
