**Cresilon Expands Headquarters at Brooklyn’s Industry City; Rumi Scientific Joins Campus**
Industry City, the six-million-square-foot mixed-use campus located in Brooklyn’s Sunset Park neighborhood, has announced two major biotech leasing updates.
Cresilon, a pioneering biotechnology company known for its wound-healing technology, has signed a 10-year lease to expand its U.S. headquarters and laboratory space to 55,000 square feet — more than doubling its previous footprint of 27,000 square feet.
In addition to Cresilon’s expansion, therapeutic discovery firm Rumi Scientific has signed a five-year lease for 6,510 square feet at Industry City’s Building 4. The company is relocating from the New York Blood Center to establish its new research and development laboratory at the campus.
“Cresilon’s expansion at Industry City is especially rewarding because it reflects a years-long partnership supporting their growth and ensuring they have the right space to scale,” said Jeff Fein, Senior Vice President of Leasing at Industry City. “With Rumi Scientific joining the campus, we’re excited to build a similar partnership and further grow an ecosystem where biotech innovators thrive alongside like-minded peers in a supportive, future-focused environment.”
Fein represented the landlord in the Cresilon deal, while Josh Pernice, Vice President at CBRE, represented Cresilon. Fein and Nick Shears, Vice President of Leasing at Industry City, represented ownership in the Rumi Scientific transaction.
These developments reinforce Industry City’s growing reputation as a hub for life sciences and innovation in New York City.
