**Midway and Partners Announce Redevelopment of Houston’s Post Oak Central**
Midway, in collaboration with 3Edgewood and Parkway, has announced plans to revitalize the iconic Post Oak Central development, rebranding the 17-acre site as Central Park Post Oak. The ambitious project aims to transform the campus into a dynamic mixed-use environment that enhances both office and retail experiences in the heart of Houston.
Post Oak Central currently comprises 1.2 million square feet of premier Class-A office space and 90,000 square feet of pedestrian-oriented retail. The redevelopment will significantly expand the retail footprint, introducing over 150,000 square feet of mixed-use retail and restaurant space. This includes 60,000 square feet of new construction, as well as upgrades to existing retail areas.
Key features of the plan include the construction of two new retail buildings along Post Oak Boulevard, the addition of on-street parking, the renovation of existing parking garages, and the introduction of new retailers and restaurants to the area.
Construction officially began in April 2025, with project completion expected by fall 2026. The development team includes architecture and design firm Page, landscape architect OJB, and general contractor Hoar Construction, working under the direction of lead developer Midway.
This redevelopment marks a significant step in transforming the Post Oak corridor into a vibrant, pedestrian-friendly destination for business, dining, and leisure.
