**TRIA Expands Into New Architectural Practice Areas**
TRIA, an award-winning architecture firm based in Boston, has announced a significant expansion of its practice areas. Under the leadership of President and CEO Sherwood Butler, TRIA is evolving beyond its established focus on science and technology to include multifamily housing, interior design, urban design and master planning, commercial mixed-use developments, adaptive reuse and repositioning, workplace design, retail, and the hospitality sector.
The firm’s expanded portfolio features a broad array of new projects. These include the full repositioning of office spaces in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, and Cambridge, Massachusetts; the conversion of an office building into a hotel in downtown Boston; a high-end 60-unit condominium and private club located in the Caribbean; a number of new restaurant designs; and ground-up multifamily and urban master plan developments across Massachusetts and New Hampshire.
“This is a pivotal moment in TRIA’s journey,” said Butler. “Our foundation in science and tech, combined with our growing multidisciplinary experience, has naturally evolved into a bold, integrated practice model. We’re excited to push boundaries, foster innovation across sectors, and create spaces that inspire and transform communities.”
