**Zia Station’s First-Phase Development Launches with 244-Unit Zia Flats in Santa Fe**
Zia Station is set to move forward with its highly anticipated mixed-use development in Santa Fe, with the announcement of Zia Flats, a 244-unit apartment community to be constructed as part of Phase I. The project is a collaboration between Aberg Property Co. (APC) and Zia Station LLC, with financing support from Sunward Bank.
Situated at the northeast corner of St. Francis Drive and Zia Road, Zia Flats will feature 24 onsite affordable housing units, a resort-style pool, a clubhouse with coworking space, a fitness center, and expansive outdoor courtyards equipped with fire pits and additional community-focused amenities. The residential complex will comprise six buildings, ranging from two to three stories in height.
Construction is scheduled to span approximately 22 months, with completion and opening anticipated in early 2027.
Looking ahead, the second phase of Zia Station is in early design and planning, and will introduce a combination of commercial and additional residential uses. Aberg Property Co., led by principals Peter Aberg and Christopher Ray, has been actively developing boutique residential communities across Texas and New Mexico since 2016.
Zia Flats is poised to play a significant role in enhancing housing opportunities and community amenities within the greater Santa Fe area.
