Post Brothers Buys West End Office Building for $67 Million

Post Brothers, a real estate development firm, has acquired 2100 M Street in Washington D.C.’s West End for $66.77 million. The 300,000-square-foot building is set to be either demolished or converted into approximately 300 residential units at an estimated cost of $300 million.

Mike Pestronk, Post Brothers CEO expressed his enthusiasm for the new opportunity: “We are thrilled about this exciting new opportunity to make an even bigger footprint in the Washington D.C market with this latest purchase…There is great potential for new residential [development] in the D.C market and we look forward to creatively converting this building into premier residential units located within one of Washington’s most sought after neighborhoods.”
The project will feature creative unit features and amenities that expand on Post Brother’s presence following their conversion of Universal Buildings near Dupont Circle into multi-family units previously completed by them as well .
