Long-Term Tenants Renew Leases at Seagram Building
RFR’s iconic Seagram Building continues to attract long-term commitments from high-profile tenants, with recent lease renewals totaling more than 61,000 square feet. Among the notable renewals, Invemed Associates, led by Home Depot co-founder Ken Langone, has signed on for another term, maintaining its 7,000-square-foot space and marking 33 years at the prestigious address. The Berkley Insurance Group, founded by Bill Berkley, also renewed its 18,214-square-foot lease, extending its tenure at the building to 17 years.
Additionally, Mubadala’s MIC Capital is set to double its footprint within the Seagram Building, renewing and expanding its lease to 36,428 square feet. This expansion includes space that won’t become available until 2027, reflecting a forward-looking commitment to the property.
“As renowned industry titans, Mr. Langone and Mr. Berkley add a larger-than-life energy to the diverse tenant mix at Seagram and complement a host of youthful, high-growth firms at the building,” said AJ Camhi, director of leasing at RFR. “The prestige of a Seagram address is universally sought after, and we’re seeing long-term commitments from tenants ranging from savvy innovators to longtime business visionaries. At 99% occupancy, the competition for space here is still incredibly fierce.”
RFR was represented in-house by AJ Camhi and Senior Vice President Paul Milunec. Mubadala Investment Group was represented by Justin Aronson of CBRE.
