Mohr Partners has brought on industry veteran Jennifer Syx to help expand its Economic Development and Incentives practice into a full-service North American platform. Syx brings over 20 years of experience as an economic development officer for U.S. municipalities. More recently, she transitioned to the private sector, where she has represented companies in negotiating mutually beneficial incentive agreements.
Avison Young announced the promotion of Sullivan Johnston to Senior Vice President in its Austin office. Johnston is a founding member of the firm’s Land, Development, and Industrial Advisory (LDI) Group. In her new role, she will represent a wide range of clients—including institutional investors, private developers, corporate users, and landowners—in the acquisition and disposition of commercial properties and development parcels throughout Texas and the U.S.
Steve Echols has joined JLL’s Project and Development Services (PDS) team as a Senior Vice President in Dallas. Echols brings more than three decades of experience, including 21 years at CBRE. At JLL, he will lead the management, design, and delivery of commercial, industrial, and retail property solutions. Over the course of his career, Echols has worked on multi-million-dollar capital improvement projects and represented clients such as Preston Commons, Tollway Plaza, The Colonnade, 2100 McKinney, KBS, and CBRE Global Investors.
Oxford Partners represented TF Warren Group in its acquisition of a 104,957-square-foot building located at 12001 Hirsch Road in Houston, Texas. Oxford Partners’ Ryan Hartsell, Matt Rogers, and Stephen Hazen represented the buyer. Carlton R. Anderson and Nathan Mai of Mohr Partners represented the seller.
Nina Farrell has been promoted to Executive Director within the Government and Education division of JLL Work Dynamics in Austin. In her role, Farrell leads the national advisory practice, collaborating with a team focused on serving public sector and non-profit organizations—including federal, state, and local governments. She previously served as a real estate advisor for The University of Texas System, one of the largest public university systems in the United States.
