**Construction Begins on Gilbert’s Heritage Park, A New Downtown Destination**
Work has officially commenced on Heritage Park, a major new development at the northern gateway of Gilbert’s Heritage District. This initiative marks the beginning of a 10-acre downtown destination that will blend dining, residential living, and community space in the heart of Gilbert, Arizona.
The project is being spearheaded by Creation in partnership with Crescent Communities. Together, they are developing Heritage Park across an entire city block at the intersection of Gilbert Road and Juniper Avenue.
The first phase of the project will include approximately 47,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space, along with NOVEL Heritage Park— a luxury multifamily community offering 288 residences. Additionally, the site will feature more than 300 surface parking spaces as well as a vibrant public square complete with water features, mature landscaping, public art, and walking and biking paths.
Flagship Restaurant Group has secured a key presence within the development, leasing 14,000 square feet to launch three new restaurants in the East Valley. Plans for subsequent phases of Heritage Park include a 125-room hotel and office space.
Heritage Park will open in phases, with the first establishments expected to launch in 2026. NOVEL Heritage Park is scheduled to open in spring 2027. Construction is led by LGE Design Build.
