**Groundbreaking Begins on Heritage Park in Gilbert’s Heritage District**
Work has officially begun on the highly anticipated Heritage Park, located at the northern gateway of Gilbert’s Heritage District. This marks the first phase of a transformative 10-acre downtown destination that will offer a unique blend of restaurants, retail, and residential living.
The project is being led by Creation in partnership with Crescent Communities. Together, the developers are bringing to life Heritage Park, which spans an entire city block at the intersection of Gilbert Road and Juniper Avenue.
The first phase of the project will include approximately 47,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space, along with NOVEL Heritage Park — a luxury multifamily community featuring 288 residences. Additional elements include more than 300 surface parking spaces and a vibrant public square, complete with water features, mature landscaping, public art installations, as well as walking and biking paths.
Flagship Restaurant Group will anchor the culinary offerings at the site, leasing 14,000 square feet to introduce three new restaurants to the East Valley market.
Future phases of Heritage Park are set to expand the district with the addition of a 125-room hotel and office space. The project will open in stages, with the first phase expected to debut in 2026. The NOVEL Heritage Park multifamily residences are projected to open in spring 2027.
LGE Design Build is leading construction for the development.
