Developer Unveils Plans for Harford Mall Redevelopment
Mixed-use development firm SJC Ventures has revealed its vision for the future of the Harford Mall site to local economic development leaders. Jeff Garrison, Principal at SJC Ventures, presented plans for an 83,000-square-foot redevelopment project at the intersection of Veterans Memorial Highway, Baltimore Pike, and North Tollgate Road.
The proposed $100 million project will be anchored by a high-end, 35,000-square-foot organic grocery store. In addition, the development will include 48,000 square feet of luxury boutiques, restaurants, shops, and amenities, replacing the site of the former Macy’s department store.
If approved, the project will feature pedestrian walkways to enhance connectivity throughout the space, creating a vibrant, mixed-use complex for both residents and visitors.
“We see this project as a game changer for the region and a huge community asset,” said Garrison. “The best-in-class organic grocer will be a catalyst to create new energy that will attract first-to-market retailers and restaurants at this prime location.”
The redevelopment aims to breathe new life into the area and provide a dynamic destination that supports economic growth and community enrichment.
