**Portman Welcomes Katie Tolson as VP of Development**
Portman has appointed Katie Tolson as Vice President of Development. With more than 18 years of experience in multifamily and mixed-use real estate, Tolson will oversee multifamily development projects in Texas and collaborate closely with Portman’s growing team in Austin. Her expertise spans land development, entitlements, design, and construction management. Throughout her career, Tolson has successfully delivered over 1,400 multifamily units and developed more than 130 acres of mixed-use projects across Texas and Colorado.
**CenterSquare Acquires Shops at Aliana Trace**
CenterSquare Investment Management has acquired the Shops at Aliana Trace, a 40,000-square-foot Essential Service Retail (ESR) property in Richmond, Texas. Located along the Grand Parkway—one of the fastest-growing retail corridors in Texas—the center features a full roster of national tenants and is 100% leased. This acquisition marks CenterSquare’s 53rd ESR shopping center.
**Chad Andrus Joins Coldwell Banker Commercial Alamo City**
Coldwell Banker Commercial Alamo City has added Chad Andrus to its Land & Ranch Division in San Antonio. A leading expert in land transactions and founder of Andrus Land Group, Andrus is an Accredited Land Consultant who has completed more than $130 million in land sales and sold over 30,000 acres throughout Texas in the past five years. He was recently honored as the 2023 and 2024 Regional Land Broker of the Year by the REALTORS® Land Institute.
**Avison Young Tapped for Houston Office Leasing Assignments**
Avison Young has been named the exclusive leasing agent for two office properties in Houston’s Westchase submarket. The assignments include 9800 Richmond Avenue, an eight-story, 177,397-square-foot building, and 11000 Richmond Avenue, a six-story building with 118,259 square feet. Both properties, totaling 295,656 square feet, were acquired in April 2025 by Beyond Richmond Office, which is undertaking capital improvements.
**Endeavor Real Estate Group Breaks Ground at TCU**
Endeavor Real Estate Group has broken ground on a new student housing development on the campus of Texas Christian University (TCU) in Fort Worth. The project includes two apartment-style buildings, marking the first phase of a development partnership with the university. The buildings will provide 780 beds and approximately 25,000 square feet of ground-floor retail space. Completion is slated for the fall 2027 semester.
