**Serenbe Plans $1.7 Billion Expansion with New Residences, Hotel, and Wellness Services**
A wellness-focused community located 40 miles southwest of Atlanta is preparing for a major expansion. Located in Chattahoochee Hills, developers of Serenbe are planning a $1.7 billion addition that could bring hundreds of new residences, hotel rooms, and various civic and commercial facilities.
The expansion proposal includes 97 aging-in-place residential units, offering a mix of single-family homes, townhouses, and apartments. Also in the works is a 110-key hotel that will include a restaurant, wellness amenities, and medical services. The developers are aiming to complete this phase of the project by 2029.
In support of a $300 million portion of the expansion—which encompasses the aging-in-place community and the hotel—Fulton County’s economic development authority approved an $11 million tax incentive two years ago.
Looking further ahead, a subsequent phase of development could introduce an office building with ground-floor retail, a 70-key hotel, and several hundred additional residences. This second phase is expected to be completed by 2035.
Currently, Serenbe is home to approximately 600 residential units, an inn, eight restaurants, 30 retail establishments, and an organic farm, all connected by a network of walking trails.
