**Landmark and Stockbridge Acquire Two Student Housing Properties Near USC**
Landmark Properties and Stockbridge have announced the acquisition of two student housing communities located near the University of Southern California (USC) in Los Angeles. While the financial terms of the deal remain undisclosed, the acquisition strengthens Landmark’s presence in the region, bringing its total bed count in Los Angeles to nearly 2,200.
The properties acquired include Icon Plaza and West 27th Place. The deal marks the third collaboration between Landmark and Stockbridge. TSB Realty brokered the sale, while TSB Capital Advisors arranged financing for the transaction.
“As a top-tier private research university, USC draws students globally, creating significant demand for housing that exceeds on-campus capacity,” said JD Goering, Senior Vice President of Acquisitions at Landmark. “Given that approximately 81% of USC students require off-campus options, Icon Plaza and West 27th Place are ideally situated to deliver vital, purpose-built student housing.”
As part of their acquisition plan, Landmark intends to renovate the common areas and amenities at Icon Plaza. No major renovations are planned for West 27th Place, which has been recently updated.
This acquisition further underscores the demand for high-quality student housing in proximity to leading academic institutions like USC.
