**Wayfair to Open $18.7M Store in Atlanta’s Upper Westside**
Wayfair Inc. is expanding beyond its e-commerce roots by building a new physical retail store in Atlanta. The store, which will span 150,000 square feet, is set to open in 2026 at 1801 Howell Mill Road NW, within The District at Howell Mill shopping center, located in the city’s Upper Westside neighborhood.
This marks the company’s second physical location, following the debut of its first store near Chicago. Public filings value the Atlanta project at $18.7 million.
The new store aims to deliver an immersive, one-stop shopping experience, offering a broad selection of furniture, home décor, housewares, appliances, and other home improvement products. Shoppers will be able to purchase and take home smaller items on the same day. For larger purchases, such as furniture, the store will benefit from its proximity to Wayfair’s fulfillment center in McDonough, Georgia, ensuring quick and efficient delivery.
The lease transaction was handled by Fraser Gough and Benton Green of Retail Planning Corporation. The property is jointly owned by JLL Income Property Trust and Selig Enterprises, a century-old, family-operated real estate development firm based in Atlanta.
