**Delta Millworks to Build $34.7M Headquarters in Wimberley**
Delta Millworks is set to break ground this June on a new $34.7 million headquarters in Wimberley, a scenic town in the Texas Hill Country. The new facility will span 33 acres and include 88,000 square feet of building space. It is scheduled to open by next fall.
The expansion comes as the company has outgrown its current 50,000-square-foot factory, which was built 75 years ago. With a staff of 75 employees, the original facility can no longer meet the company’s operational needs. The construction of the new headquarters is expected to generate approximately 117 jobs.
Once a local millworking and reclaimed lumber operation, Delta Millworks has evolved into a national manufacturer specializing in exterior cladding and decking. The company partners with architects, builders, and end users on projects from the design phase through installation.
To support the development, Delta Millworks has secured $24.5 million in federal funding through New Market Tax Credits and is in talks to obtain additional local incentives. The company is also pursuing a property tax abatement from Hays County, requesting a 25% reduction over a five-year period.
