A multistory medical development at The Rock at La Cantera is moving forward. The three-story project will consist of 135,000 square feet and include medical and research spaces. The project is part of the 45-acre Rock at La Cantera development — a $500 million mixed-use campus led by the San Antonio Spurs.
The new medical building is planned adjacent to the Spurs’ Victory Capital Performance Center. According to a state filing, construction on the $17 million development is expected to begin in early July. Lincoln Property Company is the lead developer for the project.
UT Health San Antonio plans to occupy a portion of the building and intends to lease the remaining space. The university anticipates moving into the new facility in 2027.
