**$2B River Central Project Could Break Ground Next Year**

Dealing with wetlands is never easy, but the managing partner behind the $2 billion River Central project is optimistic about starting construction in the coming year. A key challenge for the project is a wetland area that runs through the development site near Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport. The developer is currently pursuing federal permits to address the issue and move forward.

River Central is a large-scale, mixed-use development that will include:

– A 140-room hotel
– 120,000 square feet of office space
– A 56,000-square-foot concert venue
– 60,000 square feet of retail space
– 125 townhomes
– 1,200 apartments
– 50 acres of open space

The development straddles Fort Worth and Grand Prairie and has already secured zoning approvals from officials in both cities.

Hasen Design Build & Development is serving as the managing partner for the project. Once the ground breaks, Hasen plans to begin several phases of construction, which will include apartments, higher-density townhomes, and mixed-use retail components.
