**Legacy Partners and DWS Group Break Ground on 200-Unit Soto Apartment Community in Torrance**
Legacy Partners, a privately held national real estate firm, has partnered with global asset manager DWS Group to begin construction on Soto, a new 200-unit apartment community located in Torrance, California. This marks the fourth collaboration between Legacy and DWS.
Soto will rise at 3863 Carson Street, adjacent to the highly visited Del Amo Fashion Center. The five-story community will feature an exterior design inspired by classic mid-century office architecture, consistent with the surrounding mixed-use campus. Completion is expected by the summer of 2027, with Westport Construction serving as the project’s general contractor.
“Soto’s elevated design showcases the quintessential Southern California lifestyle and offers residents views of the Pacific Ocean and proximity to the best beaches in the South Bay,” said Tim O’Brien, Senior Managing Director for Southern California and the Southwest region at Legacy Partners. “The community will also be within walking distance of restaurants and retail amenities, including the newly renovated Del Amo Fashion Center, which attracts 20 million visitors per year.”
Soto is set to become a premier residential destination in Torrance, reflecting Legacy and DWS’s continued commitment to delivering thoughtfully designed living spaces in prime urban locations.
