**Gerson Lehman Renews, Workday Expands with ESRT in Midtown Manhattan**
Empire State Realty Trust (ESRT) has announced two significant office lease transactions totaling nearly 120,000 square feet at its notable Midtown Manhattan properties.
Gerson Lehman Group, Inc. (GLG), a leading financial and global information services consulting firm, has renewed its two-floor lease comprising 77,382 square feet at One Grand Central Place, located at 60 E. 42nd Street. GLG has been a tenant at this location since 2013.
Additionally, AI-driven human resources platform Workday has renewed and expanded its lease at the iconic Empire State Building at 350 Fifth Avenue. The company has increased its footprint to 39,069 square feet. Workday initially leased prebuilt space at One Grand Central Place in 2015 before relocating to the Empire State Building.
In the GLG transaction, leasing negotiations were handled by TJ Hochanadel, Robert Martin, Dan Santagata, and Paul Kauffman of JLL on behalf of the tenant. Representing the landlord were Jordan Berger, Shanae Ursini, and Kerry Lavelle of ESRT, along with Scott Klau, William Cohen, Erik Harris, and Neil Rubin of Newmark.
Workday was represented by Harry Blair, Rob Lowe, and Paige Engeldrum of Cushman & Wakefield. Berger, Ursini, and Lavelle of ESRT also represented the landlord in that deal.
These transactions underscore the enduring appeal of ESRT’s office portfolio and the confidence long-term tenants have in its Midtown Manhattan properties.
