The Round Rock Independent School District has acquired a 206,000-square-foot office building at 9900 Spectrum Drive for $37.75 million. Formerly occupied by LegalZoom, the building will be repurposed as a districtwide hub for career and technical education and innovation.

The new facility will support training programs in various career fields including auto body repair, cosmetology, early childhood education, electrical trades, and robotics, serving as a hands-on learning environment for students across the district.

District officials stated that the purchase price represents an estimated $9 million savings compared to the property’s market value.

As part of its strategic real estate shift, LegalZoom has opened new leased office spaces in Austin, Texas and Sherman Oaks, California. “With the sale of our Austin office and opening of two leased spaces, we were able to increase our cash position while driving meaningful, in-person interactions to build connections and improve overall engagement,” said Sheily Chhabria Panchal, a spokesperson for LegalZoom.
