**GFO Investments Unveils Redevelopment Plans for Historic Miami Courthouse**
GFO Investments has announced plans to redevelop the historic Miami-Dade Courthouse located at 73 W Flagler Street. As part of a larger vision for the area, the company intends to preserve the historic structure while adding a striking new 65-story mixed-use tower on an adjacent site.
The proposed high-rise will include more than 800 condominiums and rental units, along with ground-floor retail, ample parking facilities, and pedestrian-friendly green spaces. The design also incorporates shared amenities and common areas to enhance community living.
In a report by the South Florida Business Journal, details emerged that the 1929-built courthouse will be repurposed into a blend of office space, hotel accommodations, hospitality areas, and meeting rooms. Importantly, the redevelopment will maintain the courthouse’s architectural integrity by preserving the historic tower in its entirety.
GFO Investments, which focuses on a range of real estate ventures including condominium, multifamily, hospitality, and industrial developments, frequently collaborates with prominent partners such as Related Group and Terra Group.
The Miami-Dade County government relocated to a new courthouse in 2020, making the transformation of the old landmark both timely and strategic for revitalizing the area.
