**Boehringer Ingelheim Moves Headquarters to Johns Creek**

Pharmaceutical company Boehringer Ingelheim has leased 73,000 square feet of office space at Medley, the former State Farm headquarters located in Johns Creek. Previously based in Duluth, the company specializes in the development of vaccines and medicines for humans, pets, poultry, and wildlife. The recently renovated facility, situated at the intersection of McGinnis Ferry Road and Johns Creek Parkway, will support around 500 employees.

Medley is a 43-acre mixed-use development launched by Toro Development Co. late last year. In addition to office space, the project will feature 150,000 square feet of retail, a 175-key boutique hotel, 750 apartments, 133 townhomes, and a large public plaza.

Bryan Heller and Parker Welton of Stream Realty Partners represented Toro Development Co. in the office lease transaction.

According to the Atlanta Business Chronicle, this lease marks Boehringer Ingelheim’s first major office presence in Georgia. The company recently completed a $66 million expansion of its research and development facility in Athens and maintains manufacturing operations in Gainesville.
