Lexington Homes to Build Townhomes in Downtown Northbrook
Chicago-based Lexington Homes is set to bring 25 new townhomes to downtown Northbrook as part of a development project known as Gateway. Construction site work and sales activities for the project are expected to begin this summer.
Located at 1189 Shermer Road, just west of Route 43, Gateway will offer residents convenient access to a wide range of dining, entertainment, and shopping options in the heart of downtown Northbrook. The location is also commuter-friendly, situated just an eight-minute walk from the Northbrook Metra station, which provides service to Chicago’s Union Station.
“In many areas of Chicagoland, there is strong demand for housing inventory, particularly new-construction homes, because there isn’t much available land for new development,” said Jeff Benach, principal of Lexington Homes. “Gateway will provide much-needed, high-quality new housing in this sought-after area.”
The development will feature two different townhome designs, with each residence offering three levels of modern living. Nearby major retailers include Jewel-Osco and Home Depot, adding to the community’s appeal for future residents.
