### Jamestown Granted Approval for Major Addition to Birkdale Village

A $200 million expansion plan for Birkdale Village has received a key approval. According to the *Charlotte Business Journal*, developer **Jamestown** has secured rezoning approval from the Huntersville Board of Commissioners, allowing for significant new development.

The approved plans include a 125-room hotel, 150 multifamily residential units, 26,715 square feet of additional retail space, and a new seven-story office building at the center of the project.

Currently, Birkdale Village consists of approximately 250,000 square feet of retail space, 50,000 square feet of office space, and 320 apartments.

The new office building will span 175,000 square feet, including about 13,000 square feet of retail space on the ground floor. A six-story apartment building is planned for the location of the existing Dick’s Sporting Goods store, while the seven-story hotel will be positioned near the entrance off Sam Furr Road.
