### Jamestown Granted Approval for Major Addition to Birkdale Village
A $200 million expansion plan for Birkdale Village has received a crucial approval. Jamestown, the project’s developer, has secured rezoning approval from the Huntersville Board of Commissioners, paving the way for significant new development at the site.
The approved plan includes a 125-room hotel, 150 multifamily units, 26,715 square feet of retail space, and a new seven-story office building.
Currently, Birkdale Village comprises approximately 250,000 square feet of retail space, 50,000 square feet of office space, and 320 apartments.
The upcoming office building will feature a total of 175,000 square feet, including 13,000 square feet of ground-floor retail. A six-story apartment building is planned for the site currently occupied by Dick’s Sporting Goods, while the seven-story hotel will be located near Birkdale Village’s entrance off Sam Furr Road.
