**Jamestown Granted Approval for Major Addition to Birkdale Village**

A $200 million expansion plan for Birkdale Village has received a key approval. Jamestown has secured rezoning approval from the Huntersville Board of Commissioners, allowing for the development of a 125-room hotel, 150 multifamily units, 26,715 square feet of retail space, and a new seven-story office building at the center of the project.

Currently, Birkdale Village consists of approximately 250,000 square feet of retail space, 50,000 square feet of office space, and 320 apartments.

The forthcoming office building will span 175,000 square feet, including around 13,000 square feet of ground-floor retail. A six-story apartment building is planned for the site currently occupied by Dick’s Sporting Goods, while the proposed seven-story hotel will be located near Birkdale Village’s entrance off Sam Furr Road.
