### Miami-Dade County Leasing Land for $141M Cold Storage Facility

A South Florida developer is seeking approval from Miami-Dade County to construct a $141 million cold chain processing plant on county-owned land. **The Mandich Group** plans to develop the facility on a 14.61-acre site located at 7333, 7445, and 7449 N.W. 12 St. in Miami, just south of Miami International Airport. The proposed 262,896-square-foot facility will operate under the **Cold-Link** brand.

According to the *South Florida Business Journal*, the project aims to ensure the safe handling of agricultural and food products moving through Miami International Airport and PortMiami, helping to prevent contamination from pests and diseases.

Over the course of the 35-year lease, Miami-Dade County stands to generate approximately $206.81 million in rent and other revenues. If Mandich exercises two additional five-year renewal options, total projected county revenue could reach $318.3 million over 45 years.

Founded in 2016 by the Mandich Brothers, Cold-Link currently operates eight refrigerated facilities across the U.S., including one in Orlando.
